[RECAP] MEP IN INTERIORS 2025

[RECAP] MEP IN INTERIORS 2025

Have you ever wondered what transforms an ordinary interior into a vibrant, intelligent, and artful space? Perhaps it’s the seamless blend of aesthetics and technology—where MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems are no longer just dry technical components, but the very heart and soul of each project.

Recently, Zegal was honored to participate in MEP IN INTERIORS 2025—an inspiring event that showcased pioneering ideas in MEP for interior design. Over the course of three days at the C.space Design Complex (from June 25 to 27, 2025), we explored, learned, and connected with industry professionals, gaining fresh perspectives on the future of the field. Let’s take a look back at this memorable journey with Zegal.

Day 1 (June 25): A vibrant opening and in-depth perspectives on mechanical systems

From the early morning of June 25, the atmosphere at C.space was already buzzing with energy as the official opening of MEP IN INTERIORS 2025 took place from 9:30 to 9:50 AM. The event kicked off with strong attendance from architects, engineers, designers, and leading firms in the industry.

This vibrant start reflected the growing attention from the professional community to the increasingly vital role of MEP systems in the context of modern interior design.

At Zegal’s booths S14 & S20, we were proud to showcase advanced smart lighting and smart home solutions from the LTECH brand. Visitors had the chance to experience firsthand a range of smart switches, modern lighting controllers, and various other convenience-enhancing devices.

Each product was meticulously designed—not only to elevate the elegance of living spaces but also to ensure smooth and reliable daily operation. Could you feel the difference when you touched the lighting technology of the future?

Morning sessions: The foundation of MEP systems

The first day truly “unlocked” foundational knowledge about MEP systems in buildings. The morning sessions offered both a broad overview and in-depth insights into the core role of MEP:

  • From 10:00 to 10:30, the talk “MEP as the Heart of Every Building” was delivered by Ms. Nguyễn Thị Mai Thanh, Chairwoman of REE Corporation. Her perspective brought a humanistic angle, emphasizing the indispensable importance of MEP systems.
  • Following that, from 10:30 to 11:15, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Hạnh, representative of REEPRO, presented “A New Approach to Ductwork in Interior Design.” This session opened up new directions for optimizing ventilation in living spaces.

Afternoon sessions: Deep dive into mechanical systems and climate solutions

The afternoon continued with in-depth discussions on the technical aspects and practical applications of mechanical systems, particularly those related to indoor environmental quality and climate control:

  • From 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM, Mr. Lê Quang Thái – CEO of Sao-EE – delivered an in-depth session on “The Importance of Ventilation Simulation and Thermal Comfort in Interior Design.” His presentation provided practical knowledge for optimizing indoor microclimates.
  • Next, from 3:20 PM to 4:05 PM, Mr. Phan Đình Vĩnh, Deputy General Director of Searefico E&C and Director of Searee, presented on “MEP in Technical Drawing Implementation.”
  • Finally, from 4:10 PM to 4:55 PM, Mr. Tống Công Anh, Founder & Director of WellLiving Vietnam, offered valuable insights with his talk “Climate Solutions in Interior Design.”

These diverse perspectives and practical insights provided valuable information that helped the professional community not only deepen their theoretical understanding but also enhance their problem-solving skills. This was a standout highlight of MEP IN INTERIORS 2025, setting it apart from other industry events.

Day 2 (June 26): Electrical systems & BIM – elevating design with modern technology

Spreading the energy with a focus on electrical systems

Building on the momentum of the first day, Day 2 of MEP IN INTERIORS 2025 (June 26) continued to deliver compelling topics centered around one of the most critical systems: electrical systems. From electrical design for interiors to in-depth discussions on MEP in Design & Build, attendees were drawn in by fresh, practical insights.

Zegal remained active at booths S14 & S20, ready to welcome you. Our dedicated consulting and technical teams were always on hand, continuously sharing expertise and helping visitors find the most suitable smart lighting and smart home solutions—whether for personal living spaces or large-scale projects. We believe that a well-designed lighting system does more than illuminate—it shapes emotions and enhances experience.

In-depth sessions on electrical systems

If you’re someone who keeps a close eye on the latest technology trends, chances are you didn’t miss the sessions on applying BIM (Building Information Modeling) in MEP.

BIM is steadily becoming an essential tool, streamlining the entire process of design, construction, and project management. Mastering BIM not only boosts work efficiency but also significantly minimizes errors throughout the project lifecycle.

  • The morning kicked off from 9:30 to 10:15 with the session “BIM for MEP – From Construction Modeling to Efficient Operation Management” by Mr. Hà Thanh Tùng, BIM Manager at BIM EXPRESS.
  • Next, from 10:20 to 11:05, Mr. Trương Văn Thạch, Head of Division 5 – Center for Technical Standards, Measurement and Quality 3 (QUATEST 3), delivered a session on “Electrical Safety Standards in Interior Design.” This was a deep dive into a critical aspect of every project—electrical safety.
  • The final morning session (11:10 to 11:55) featured Mr. Hoàng Sử Kỳ Quan, Director of HB Acoustic, with the topic “Acoustic Design in MEPF Systems.” Have you ever considered that MEP systems could impact the acoustic quality of a space? This was truly a specialized and fascinating area of knowledge.

Tọa đàm: MEP trong design & build

The afternoon panel discussion “MEP in Design & Build” (2:30 PM – 5:00 PM) was a standout highlight, moderated by Mr. Nguyễn Chánh Phương, Vice Chairman of the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh City (HAWA). Leading industry experts came together to share their insights and experiences on the role of MEP systems in integrated design and construction:

  • Ong Nguyen Phuc Thanh, Pho Tong Giam Doc AC Corporation
  • Ba Nguyen Giang Quyen, Nha sang lap & CEO UK DesignBuild
  • Ba Vo Tran Thu Trang, Nha sang lap & Dieu hanh thiet ke TTID Design & Build Contractor
